Menu Plan Monday ~ March 29, 2010
For the past few weeks, I haven’t written out my weekly meal plans. It has definitely made a difference. Many nights dinner was late or I was wandering around the kitchen trying to throw something together. I also made several small trips to Wal-Mart to pick up a few things. I’m back to meal planning and I’m hoping for a more productive week.
Monday – chicken casserole, corn, macaroni and cheese
(The whole chicken was purchased for $.47/lb at Food Lion.)
Tuesday Thursday- manwich, baked fries, green beans
(Ground sirloin purchased at Food Lion last week for $1.87/lb. Fries from Harris Teeter during triple coupons.)
Wednesday – leftovers, easy foods
Thursday Friday – Paula Deen’s crab cakes (first attempt), hushpuppies, fried okra, rice
(Crab from Harris Teeter, half price, fried okra bogo at HT.)
Friday Tuesday – beef and/or spinach enchiladas, mexican rice, black beans, pico de gallo, guacamole
Saturday – meat loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread
Sunday – ham, cabbage, mashed potatoes, rolls
